Description
While the commissioning model is still being developed, it is anticipated that the future service will be awarded to one provider and will provide support for individuals aged 18 and over in Islington who have drug and alcohol support needs. The provider will deliver an integrated drug and alcohol service that is registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Key elements of the service include: • Evidence-based interventions, in line with Drug misuse and dependence UK guidelines on clinical management (guidelines on how clinicians should treat people with drug misuse and drug dependence) and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommendations on what effective support should look life including psychological support, harm reduction, opiate substitute prescribing, community-based detoxification, inpatient detoxification, and residential rehabilitation placements. • Dedicated family service provision • Care coordination involving a range of health, justice, social care, housing, and other support services. • Social inclusion activities and interventions to support individuals in their recovery • Training, support, and consultation for people …
