Description

The provision of newborn bloodspot screening sample cards used by health professionals in Wales to collect bloodspot samples from newborn babies. The blood sample is screened for rare but serious conditions that can cause serious illness or even death if not treated early. The cards are classed as a medical device and are analysed using specialist equipment at the newborn screening laboratory in the University Hospital of Wales.
