Description
This is a Contract Award Notice to communicate a contract award made by the Contracting Authority; NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board, (hereinafter referred to as "the Authority") in compliance with their local standing financial instructions (SFIs). The contract award is made to 1 Stop Healthcare Staffing Ltd for the provision 1:1 Support in Care Homes across Mid and South Essex. It was identified that 1:1 provision of care in nursing homes has an impact on both areas. Staff shortages in the care market, increase in activity due to winter pressures and providers finding it increasingly difficult to recruit staff, all impact on a nursing home being able to accept a patient requiring 1:1 support. Nursing Homes in Mid Essex have been invited to take part in the second phase of a pilot and to provide feedback on the proposed model of care. This will ensure that any concerns highlighted from the first phase and ahead of the second phase of the pilot launch can be identified and dealt with as required.
