Description

The subject of this tender is to perform a comparative study of the major different treatment technologies available on the market that can be employed for the treatment of waste waters containing high levels of fats, oils and greases originating from cleaning of grease traps from catering, hospitality establishments and food manufacturing facilities and identifying which is the best overall technology to be used in Malta. Comparison between the different technologies should factor in: • Initial CAPEX cost m3 of FOG wastewater treated • Annual OPEX cost m3 of FOG wastewater treated • Land area required (m2) m3 of FOG wastewater treated • Quality of wastewater produced and reuse potential of by-products • Level of process automation achievable
