Description

The subject of this tender is for electromagnetic flowmeters that will be installed in the Road Tanker Influent Points (RTIPs). These will measure the flow of the wastewater as it is being discharged by bowser. The data gathered will be transmitted to a nearby Monitoring Station. The electromagnetic flowmeters work on the principle of Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic induction, whereby a voltage is induced as the conductive liquid passes through an electromagnetic field. The induced voltage is proportional to the velocity of the conductive liquid.
