Description
Het pakket Matlab- aangevuld met toolboxen ontwikkeld door The Mathworks, in combinatie met verschillende toolboxen die open source beschikbaar zijn- is dermate flexibel en tegelijkertijd specialistisch dat hiervoor geen vergelijkbaar alternatief bestaat. Naast de mogelijkheden die het pakket biedt om zelf experimentele- of analysesoftware te bouwen is er een groot aantal toolboxen beschikbaar dat door Mathworks zelf wordt ontwikkeld. Ook is er een groot aantal open-source toolboxen dat gebruik maakt van de generieke functionaliteit van Matlab en daar specialistische functionaliteit aan toevoegt.
