Karlstads universitet upphandlar en datorstyrd CNC-svarv med dubbla spindlar och y-axel som ska tillgodose följande tre huvudområden: - Materialforskning: Tillverkning av testprover, prototyper och specialkomponenter i varierande materialtyper.- Studentutbildning: Praktisk utbildning av studenter inom skärande bearbetning, maskinteknik och CNC-programmering.- Studentprojekt: Självständigt arbete där studenter tillverkar komponenter inom ramen för sina examensarbeten och projektkurser.
