Lidköpings kommun, genom Sektor samhälle, har för avsikt att genomföra ny- och ombyggnadsarbeten avseende östra hamnen i Lidköping. Huvudsaklig brukare av hamnen är Vänerhamn som hyr anläggningen av Lidköpings kommun som äger anläggningen och är entreprenadens beställare. För detta är avsikten att upphandla en entreprenör som partner, där arbetet ska präglas av öppenhet och nära samverkan i såväl planering och projektering som utförande.
