Description
Linköpings universitet genomför en frivillig förhandsinsyn i enlighet med med LOU (2016:1145) 10 kap 5§, med avsikt att teckna avtal med Illumina AB. Avtalet gäller reagenser och kit till befintlig Illuminautrustning. På Linköpings universitet finns idag flera instrument från Illumina. Det handlar om modellerna Mi Seq, Next Seq 550, NextSeq 2000, Nova Seq X plus. Nova Seq 6000 samt iScan och en pipetteringsrobot. Instrumenten används kontinuerligt av flera institutioner och är en integrerad del av pågående forskningsprojekt samt diagnostisk verksamhet vid universitetet. Utrustningen och reagenserna är unika och det finns ingen jämförbar teknologi på marknaden i skrivande stund. Kits från Illumina är nämligen specialanpassade för varje sekvenseringsmaskin och kan endast köpas från Illumina, vilket gör att det inte finns några andra leverantörer av kompatibla produkter. Illumina AB är exklusiva tillverkaren och distributören av utrustningen samt de förbrukningsmaterial som krävs för att nyttja instrumentens funktioner avseende DNA/RNA-sekvensering.
