Description
The object of the tender process was Triple quadrupole mass spectrometer ICP-MS/MS (later also “Equipment”). Basic use of a mass spectrometer is to analyze element concentrations in a sample based on the mass-to-charge ratios of the ionized elements. There are several different types of mass-spectrometers available that differ in methods of sample introduction and analysis type. The required mass spectrometer in this procurement is a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer: ICP-MS/MS The intended use of the triple quadrupole mass spectrometer is for the analysis of hard to determine radionuclides and trace element analysis in the semiconductor industry. Procured mass spectrometer must fulfill the requirements set for these types of analyses. A triple quadrupole ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer) is a type of mass spectrometer that uses a combination of three quadrupole mass filters to separate and analyze ions based on their mass-to-charge ratio (m/z).
