Description

This is a call to competition by TII for the establishment of a contract to fulfil the requirements for the supply of new LRVs and all associated goods and services along with the option of sustainable decommissioning of life expired LRVs. This contract will be used to replace end-of-life LRVs, supply new LRVs for network expansions, supply additional LRVs to meet increasing demand on existing lines, and procure new LRVs for future new Irish light rail networks. For specific future Irish LRV projects, the LRVs may be circa 30m, 40m or 50m long and must be extendable from circa 30m to 40m in length or from circa 40m to 50m in length. Catenary free trams may also be required for some batches. Note, the scope shall including the possibility of decommission of existing trams. In Dublin, the LRVs must be compatible with the existing infrastructure in place on the Luas network currently. LRVs procured for operation on the Dublin Red Line must not exceed 43.5m in length and be extendable to a length not greater that 55m in length.
