VA-enheten i Gnesta kommun arbetar med ovidkommande vatten till Gnesta avloppsreningsverk vilket även Laxne tätort är anslutet till. Utredning har utförts med färgning och rökning i de berörda områdena. Resultatet visar på ett tydligt behov att bygga ut den allmänna VA-anläggningen avseende dagvattensystem i delar av de berörda områdena. Nästa steg är projektering av dagvattenanläggningar.
