Arbete med gemensam telefoni för de fem kommunerna har pågått en tid och avser både funktioner och personal som kommer att samarbeta över kommungränserna. Kommunerna har ett väl etablerat arbete med dagens telefonilösning med telefonister, kontaktcenter, svarsgrupper, telefonkatalog och hänvisning.
