Description
Under the revised TEN-T Regulation, 431 urban nodes on the TEN-T network should adopt a sustainable urban mobility plan and collect and regularly submit to the Commission urban mobility data for all 431 urban nodes. Member States will have to designate a national SUMP contact point to oversee the process and provide support to urban nodes. The CEF work programme for 2025-2027 includes TA to support Member States to prepare for the above urban nodes requirements. The current action will support the implementation of this TA action. The action will hire a technical secretariat for 3 years (2025-2027) to establish a network of national SUMP contact points and provide a common platform to stimulate exchange and peer learning, coordinate the activities of MS, identify good practices and offer networking. The secretariat will regularly report to the Commission on the work carried out within the network and offer policy analysis on the challenges and the way forward.
