Description
This project aims to serve the overall objective to reduce carbon and water footprints in production and exports of goods and contribute to lower CO2 emission figures and less water use and pollution in Türkiye. In this scope, as the first component’s outcome, a policy framework to support textile, apparel, chemicals and international transport sectors in reducing environmental footprint will be developed in the form of a white paper (chemicals and transport sectors will be covered in relation to textile and apparel sectors). This policy process will be supported through the development of a comprehensive value chain analysis with baseline and needs analyses attached to this. Under the second component, capacities of business associations to provide services in the targeted sectors to promote environmental footprint, including carbon and water, measurement and reduction practices will be improved through consultancy services and pilot implementations.
