Trinity College Dublin proposes to award a contract for a period of 3 years to Quantium Health SA Pty Ltd, South Africa, a key partner in the Global Heat Attribution Project (GHAP). They will be engaged to provide essential access, harmonisation, and analytical support for the Discovery Health Database. This database comprises detailed health records of approximately 3 million members across South Africa and represents a critical source of private sector health insurance data. Under this contract, Quantium will lead the integration and management of the dataset, ensuring its effective use in analysing the impacts of climate change on maternal and child health outcomes. By leveraging advanced data science methodologies, Quantium will develop analytical models and indicators to quantify the relationship between climate variables and health outcomes in insured populations.
