Description

EU4Justice II is the continuation of EU4Justice I (2023-2026) under IPA 2025. The project supports the consolidation of the implementation of the Justice Reform 2016, by ensuring technical expertise to the judiciary, including Courts and Prosecution Offices, legal training institutions, including the Faculty of Law, the governance institutions of the judiciary, as much as the Ministry of Justice and all its subordinate bodies, including legal aid, bailiff and free legal professions (National Chamber of Advocates and Chamber of Mediation). The project is based on four key pillars, being 1. judicial efficiency, 2. judicial independence and accountability, 3. quality of justice and legal education and 4. transparency and access to justice. These four pillars work as a very integrated part of each other, however each aiming to target the most challenging issues identified during the implementation of the reform, as much as consolidate best EU practices already developed by EU4Justice I.
