Description
Supply of Sodium Hypochlorite & Chlorine to Uisce Eireann. Negotiated procedure without prior call for competition for the purchase of water treatment-chemicals such as Chlorine and Sodium hypochlorite. The purchase of different chemical products was awarded directly to four (4) suppliers, via separate individual Purchase Orders (aggregated values indicated above) due to: (1) no tenders or no suitable tenders or no requests to participate or no suitable requests to participate were submitted in response to the procedure CFC ref. no. 20/115-003 (Chlorine) issued in March 2022, nor (ii) were there requests to join the existing Qualification System (Chlorine Gas) established in June 202, the initial conditions of the contract were not substantially altered (Reg. 49(1)(a)) and (2) the absence of competition for technical reasons (Reg. 49(1)(c)(ii)) where the other qualified suppliers for the supply of Sodium hypochlorite did not have sufficient capacity to deliver the quantities required by Uisce Éireann nor had the trucks available to access difficult sites with access issues.
