Description
Article 33 AVMSD requires that by 19 December 2026 at the latest, the Commission shall submit to the European Parliament and the Council an ex-post evaluation of the impact of the Directive and its added value, accompanied where appropriate by proposals for its review. This study will be the basis for such ex-post evaluation and possible review of the Directive. Additionally, Article 13 and Article 16 AVMSD require the Commission to report, based on the information provided by Member States and on an independent study, on the application of the AVMSD provisions concerning the promotion of European works,including independent productions in television programmes and on-demand services. The study will have five specific objectives: 1.) Provide the Commission with information and data about the application of the Directive, in particular in the aforementioned areas, in light of the developments of the EU audiovisual market, notably its increasing digitalisation; 2.)
