Description
This auction procedure is part of the H2Global mechanism, an instrument for competition-based support of the market ramp-up of renewable hydrogen and its derivatives (renewable methanol and ammonia). The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) provides funding for the H2Global instrument, which is implemented by Hintco. Hintco will therefore acquire renewable hydrogen or its derivatives (renewable ammonia or methanol) on a long-term basis (up to 10 years) by conducting auction procedures. A contract (Hydrogen Purchase Agreement - HPA) will be awarded for this purpose. Hintco will conclude the HPA in its own name and for its own account. The renewable hydrogen must be produced for each specified lot in Africa (African Lot - AFL), Asia (Asian Lot - ASL), South America & Oceania (South American & Oceanian Lot - SAL) or North America (North American Lot - NAL).
