V katastrálnom území obce Pečovská Nová Ves sa nachádza dvanásť nelegálnych skládok s nezákonne umiestneným odpadom. Ide najmä o zmesový komunálny odpad, stavebný odpad, ale aj objemový odpad. Nelegálne skládky sa nachádzajú na parcelách C KN 1494/38, 1494/40, a E KN 309, 312, 313, 834/4. Projekt rieši revitalizáciu oblasti a sanáciu miest s nezákonne uloženým odpadom.
