Description
The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration opens tender for thermoplastic road markings in the southern part of the country. The work is divided into three regions: Southern part of West Region, North Region and East Region. This involves marking midlines and other lines on roads with bound road surfaces for the years 2024 - 2026. The project is tendered for three years with the possibility of extending the contract in the summers of 2027 and 2028. The estimated work length is 1,233 km. The main quantities, based on one year, are: Extruded thermoplastic, 100 mm width 22 km Extruded thermoplastic, 150 mm width 22 km Extruded thermoplastic, 200 mm width 29 km Sprayplasted midlines 0.7 mm thick 310 km Sprayplasted midlines 1.0 mm thick 450 km Sprayplasted midlines 1.5 mm thick 75 km Sprayplasted dividing lines 1.0 mm thick 10 km Sprayplasted dividing lines 1.5 mm thick 10 km Sprayplasted edge lines 0.7 mm thick 50 km Sprayplasted edge lines 1.0 mm thick 60 km Plastic stripes b = 200 mm, thickness = 1.0 mm 170 km Plastic stripes b = 200 mm, thickness = 1.5 mm 25 km Working days 100 days The project must be fully completed by October 1, each year.
