Description

Proposed Scope of Works Castleisland Community College comprises of a single storey main building with standalone boiler house and electrical switch room originally constructed in 1987 with a gross floor area of approximately 2,544m2 as shown in the school plan included at Figure 1 below. The proposed Climate Action Summer Works Project is for a Category 5 Science Labs upgrade including Gas Works. The existing Science Lab extends to a gross floor area of approximately 100m2 comprising: - • Main Science Lab • Preparation Room • Storeroom The proposed project is to upgrade the Science Lab in accordance with the current Department of Education TGD 003 and TGD 031 and the current template Science Lab layout in so far as is practical working within the physical constraints of the existing room layout. The school gross floor area is approximately 2,544 m2. The proposed project relates to a Category 5 upgrade to the Science Lab which has a gross floor area of 100m2.
