Description

The work under the contract "Purchasing Power Parities for hospital services" aims to coordinate the Purchasing Power Parities (PPPs) surveys on hospitals services, and to obtain PPPs for actual individual consumption of health for 40 countries. The political relevance and use of PPPs, for converting national accounts aggregates into comparable volume aggregates and to analyse relative price levels across countries in the EU, require high quality PPPs. These requirements put very strong emphasis on the collection of comparable price data across countries, the validation of the data, and the methodology applied for calculating the PPPs. All according to detailed and agreed time-schedules for the releases of the PPPs.
