Description
The purpose of the ground investigations is to confirm the soil/bedrock profile and the engineering characteristics and geological formation of the overburden and bedrock. The overburden and bedrock will be assessed for ease of excavatability, hydrogeological and geotechnical characteristics, and re-use potential. The ground investigations will also determine the thickness of the overburden strata overlying the bedrock.
