Description
PTS has today a spectrum monitoring system consisting of receivers, software components and radio directional finding hardware (hereafter referred to as DF-antennas). The spectrum monitoring system is used by PTS to monitor the spectrum usage from fixed and mobile locations. PTS uses the system to investigate the spectrum usage and detect radio signals deviating from normal usage when compared to reference data. The system geolocates the signal source and shows the estimated place for the source on a map. The remote radio units as well as the DF-antennas in the monitoring system record measured data continuously and store the recorded data locally in the unit (both for remote radio units and DF-antennas) on the server located at PTS premises. It is also possible to connect directly to the remote radio units and the DF-Antennas to see and listen to live data. The remote radio units and DF-antennas are connected through hardware from Cradlepoint, creating a VPN
