Description
The Gråkall railway is Trondheim ́s only remaining tram line. The track is a suburban track of just under nine kilometres, and runs from St. Olavs gate in the city centre up to Lian on the outskirts of Bymarka. Trøndelag County Authority and Trondheim Municipality both made decisions in 2018 that they as the owners of the Gråkallbanen line want to find a long-term solution for its operation. Among the conditions that shall be clarified are which upgrades ought to be undertaken of tram material and infrastructure. A joint project organisation shall be procured for the planning, coordination and execution of the modernisation project.
