Description
The objective of this action is to strengthen transatlantic collaboration to promote EU interests and priorities in important policy areas, demonstrate the EU's global reach, address global challenges and amplify shared values. Public diplomacy and policy support are relevant tools contributing to improved transatlantic relations: maintaining the EU-US partnership requires actively engaging key stakeholders and audiences to fundamentally raise awareness of the EU, amplify our shared values, and promote the importance of the EU-US relationship among them. On the one hand, the action will enhance EU foreign policy objectives through strategic public diplomacy activities in the United States that engage meaningfully with targeted audiences to build trust and mutual understanding. On the other hand, it aims to provide a framework for rapid action as well as enhancing opportunities for engagement when they arise through a Policy Dialogue Support Facility mechanism.
