Das ehemalige Stahlwerk „Trefilarbed" in der Industriezone Krakelshaff in Dudelange wurde 1974 in Betrieb genommen und die Produktion schrittweise bis ins Jahr 2016 endgültig eingestellt. Seit 2007 wird der südöstliche Gebäudeteil durch von SAM HWA STEEL S.A. für die Herstellung von Federdraht genutzt. Diese Gebäudeteile sind aktuell in Betrieb. Damit die Fläche wieder zur Ansiedlung von Industrieunternehmen genutzt werden kann, sind die nicht mehr in Betrieb befindlichen Produktionsstätten und das Sozialgebäude zurückzubauen. Ziel dieses Planungsprojektes ist die Ausarbeitung von einem Rückbaukonzept für die bestehenden Hallen und das Sozialgebäude der ehemaligen Trefilarbed und die Erarbeitung eines Konzeptes zur störungsfreien Sicherung und baulichen Trennung der in Betrieb befindlichen Hallenteile. Dabei ist dem sicheren und störungsfreien Betrieb eine besondere Priorität zu gewähren. Die Aufgaben und eine detaillierte Aufstellung des Leistungsumfang werden den zurückbehaltenen Anbietern in der Verhandlungsphase im Lastenheft mitgeteilt. Die Vergabe der Planungsleistungen ist für Ende 2025 angedacht.
