Description
Introduction The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to inform the market of a planned procurement process by CIÉ to appoint a System Implementor for the proposed upgrade of the existing SAP ECC6 solution to SAP S/4 HANA Cloud across the CIÉ Group of companies, comprising CIÉ Holding Company, Iarnród Éireann (IÉ), Bus Éireann, and Dublin Bus. Please note that this PIN is for information purposes only. It is not a call for competition, and no tender documents are available at this stage. Background SAP ECC6 is the version of SAP ERP software that currently supports CIÉ’s Finance and Enterprise Asset Maintenance (EAM) processes thereby performing a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of the Group’s railway and bus operations. ECC6 is used by 1500 users across the CIÉ Group. In February 2020, SAP announced that mainstream maintenance for ECC6 will cease at the end of 2027.
