Karlstad växer och en ny översiktsplan 2050 tas fram av kommunen vilket gör att staden behöver mer elektrisk energi. En Investeringsplan för Karlstads Elnät AB har beviljats där Karlstad Norra Mottagningsstation (KNM) 145/12kV ingår. Målet med denna upphandling är att kontraktera en entreprenör för utförandet av entreprenadarbeten för en ny mottagningsstation.
