Description
Zuiveringsstation De Steeg wint en zuivert oevergrondwater (OGW) en diepgrondwater (DGW) in de omgeving van Langerak. In het verleden werden organische microverontreinigingen (OMV’s), met name bentazon, in het OGW gevonden. Om deze OMV’s te verwijderen werd actiefkoolfiltratie geïntroduceerd in het OGW. Deze OMV’s worden nu ook in het DGW aangetroffen. Door een stijgende trend van de bentazonconcentratie in het DGW blijkt dat in ~2025 de wettelijke norm <0,1 µg/l voor bentazon in het drinkwater ook in het DGW zal worden overschreden. Het doel van deze aanbesteding is om te komen tot een nieuw koolfiltergebouw om de concentratie van bentazon onder de bedrijfsnorm van<0,05 µg/l in het effluent van het DGW te brengen door de toepassing van een nieuwe actiefkoolfilterstap in het DGW.
