Description

Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) intends to procure a NGI-Modified Dynamic Cyclic Simple Shear (DSS) System to support advanced teaching and research in geotechnical engineering. The system must meet the following technical, operational, educational and service requirements. We are not aware of any supplier other than the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) that satisfies all the specifications listed below. If there are other suppliers capable of delivering equipment fulfilling these requirements, OsloMet kindly requests to be notified as soon as possible. The contract will not be signed earlier than 10 days after publication of this notice. This in a one-off purchase. The total cost is around NOK 1,430,000,000 per VAT. The procurement qualifies for a direct award without competition under FOA §13-4(b) no. 2 "competition is impossible for technical reasons".
