Hankinnan kohteena on nestekaasun toimitukset VTT Jyväskylään. Hankinnan kohde on kuvattu tarkemmin kohdassa "Hankinnan taustaa". Optiot VTT:n Espoon Kiviruukin toimipisteessä on myös nestekaasusäiliö. VTT varaa itselleen oikeuden halutessaan liittää Kiviruukin nestekaasusäiliön kaasutoimitukset tähän sopimukseen.
