Description
The Contracting Authority proposes to engage in a competitive process for the establishment of two framework agreements for the manufacture and supply of Exhibition Mounts and Plinths for its upcoming exhibition, Changing Ireland; Stories from the Collection 1900 to 2020. The frameworks may also be used for additional exhibitions as and when they arise. Changing Ireland Stories from the Collection is a major exhibition for the National Museum of Ireland, which will be located on the Third Floor of Collins Barracks. The exhibition will be housed in a floor area of approximately 450sqm and will contain up to 450 objects. See attached document “100-04-376-REV04”, which contains outline plans for an overview of the size and scale of the exhibition. The successful tenderers will work on-site at Collins Barracks. NMI will provide safe working spaces at Collins Barracks, however it must be noted that only minor and no substantial hotworks can currently take place on-site.
