Upphandlingen avser mottagning, behandling och slutligt omhändertagande av lättnedbrytbart, biologiskt matavfall och fettavfall med energiåtervinning i form av produktion av biogas avsedd som fordonsbränsle samt produktion av biogödsel avsedd för avsättning på produktiv åkermark. Upphandlingen består av fyra fraktioner enligt nedan vilka sammanställts i två olika anbudsområden. Det står anbudsgivaren fritt att buda på ett eller båda anbudsområden.
