Description

Vardåsen ski centre is located in Asker municipality and has been in operation since 1968. The ski centre has a large track track with a bowl lift and a smaller children's hill with a ski track. In 2013 the facility was upgraded, including a new snow production system. The ski centre is a unique offer to Asker municipality ́s population and it is an important contribution to the municipality ́s priority area 'everyone in activity' and the work done in the municipality by preventing young outsiders. A separate building was established in 2024 for free hire of ski equipment in the facility operated by the municipal service BUA. The current contract for the operation of Vardåsen ski centre expires this season, i.e. season 2024/2025. As planning for the coming season is an important part of the service delivery, the municipality would like to enter into a contract for the operation of the ski centre as quickly as possible and during spring 2025.
