Description
The Norwegian Veterinary Institute (VI) intends to enter into contract with User Nordic AB for the purchase of two MALDI-TOF Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization - Time of Flight instruments for the identification of bacteria and fungus vha mass specrtophotomy technology. User Nordic AB is the supplier of Massespektofotometer (MS) MALDI-TOF, which is the instrument we currently use for species determination of bacteria and fungi. A tender contest will not be held for the procurement of the Maldi-Tof instruments. We are committed, among other things, to delivering bacterial species library for fish pathogenic bacteria now and in the future. This means that WE are locked in continuing the use of MaldiTOF instrument from Bruker Nordic AB. External laboratory carries out a large part of fish pathogenic bacterial diagnostics in Norway, and through this cooperation we ensure an overview of prevalence and outbreaks of bacterial diseases in Norway, which is in line with the Norwegian Veterinary Institute ́s mandate.
