Description
LINTRACK is een zogenaamde Accelerated Pavement Testing (APT) faciliteit, ontwikkeld om versneld op werkelijke grootte verkeersbelasting op wegconstructies aan te brengen. Daarmee kun je zien of de constructies of nieuwe materialen echt voldoen. Het is de “missing link” tussen laboratoriumproeven en toepassing in de weg en wordt gebruikt om theorieën of ontwerpmethoden te valideren en bij grote innovaties (materialen, constructies of ontwerpmethoden die sterk afwijken van het bestaande) om te zien of er onverwachte schademechanismen optreden bij “praktijkcondities”, een stap die beheerders vaak nodig hebben om iets echt nieuws toe te laten op hun druk bereden wegen. In 2017 is de Lintrack ontmantel in afwachting van herbouw op een nieuwe locatie. Eind 2024 is besloten de Lintrack opnieuw op te bouwen. De Lintrack dient hiervoor weer uit de opslag te worden gehaald en opnieuw in Delft - na forse modificatie, o.a vanwege aanvullende eisen op het gebied van geluid en trillingen - te worden opgebouwd. Hiervoor dient ook het ontwerp te worden herzien. Inventarisatie laat zien dat een aantal onderdelen die zijn opgeslagen (buitenopslag) ondertussen niet meer bruikbaar of moeten gerevisee…
