Description
On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Research, the Directorate of Education is now conducting a review of the distribution of subjects and hours in sixth form education. The review is anchored in the "Meld. St. 21 (2020-2021) Completion Reform - With open doors to the world and the future, it includes the study preparatory education programmes and the common subjects on vocational education programs. The national distribution of subjects and hours has the status of a regulation and contains provisions on what subjects the pupils shall have in the different education programmes and the number of hours per subject. There have not been comprehensive changes in the trade and hour distribution for sixth form education since the introduction of the Curriculum for the Knowledge Lift in 2006 (LK06/LK06 Sami). The objective of the research assignment is to obtain knowledge that the Norwegian Directorate of Education and Research shall use for reviewing and developing a new framework for content and structure.
