Objektet är en befintlig militärrestaurang innehållande storkök och restaurang beläget i en egen fristående byggnad. Byggnaden är ursprungligen färdigställd i början av 1970-talet och har under 1992 genomgått en omfattande om- och tillbyggnad och renovering. I dag är byggnaden sliten och inte energieffektiv och ska därför genomgå en ombyggnation och underhållas för en 30-årig livstidsförlängning gällande byggnad och installationer. Byggnaden kommer att evakueras under byggtiden.
