Description
Bergen municipality shall ensure that persons who reside in the municipality are offered the necessary health and care services, including practical assistance. This competition concerns practical assistance households, also called "home help". User choice means that each user chooses who shall provide the PBH service. They can choose from the private tenderers that the municipality has a contract with, or the municipal tenderer. User choices shall help citizens have a greater influence on the provision of the services they receive. In December 2022, 3,611 inhabitants had PBH services. Private tenderers provided the service to 739 of them. In total, private suppliers delivered 1910 hours PBH services in December 2022, with an average of 2.59 hours per user per month. The number is relatively stable.
