Description

Lots will not be awarded separately. Lot 1: This contingency service is tested two times minimum per annum. The test of the contingency requires the transport of 72 blood donor samples (1 box) to be transported from the NBC to the SNBTS Lot 2: In the event of a real donor testing contingency service being required by the IBTS it is important that the blood donor samples (2,000 – 4,000 samples) are transported to the SNBTS as soon as possible so that the SNBTS can complete the testing required by the IBTS as the results are required to allow for the release of blood and blood products to the hospitals. Lot 3 (a) The IBTS on occasion imports blood components from other blood transfusion services to meet patients’ needs. This process is managed by the IBTS medical team, the Red Cell Immunohaematology Laboratory (RCI) and the Scientific Support and Component Development (SSCD) departments. These units must be transported under appropriate temperature and environmental conditions in a timely manner.
