Upphandlingen omfattar Guldmedaljer till stadens invånare. Staden uppskattar det till 40-80 medaljer om året inklusive tillbehör. Staden delar en gång per år ut hedersbelöningar till anställda och tidigare anställda som gått i pension under året. Därav varierar antalet kraftigt. Dessutom delar staden även ut guldmedaljer till "förtjänta Stockholmare".
