Das Zentrum für Virologie an der Medizinische Universität Wien fungiert als österreichische Referenzzentrale für HIV und Hepatitis und führt im Rahmen der Diagnostik und des Therapiemonitorings Nukleinsäurenachweistests für HIV, HBV und HCV durch. Für diese Tätigkeit werden HIV, HBV und HCV Tests und das entsprechende Gerät für die vollautomatische Durchführung benötigt.
