Description
The aim of this project is to improve the pedestrian infrastructure within Granard, Co. Longford. This project will include for the widening of footpaths for approximately 250m along the R194, provision of a new ramped zebra crossing on the R194, junction tightening with ramped pedestrian crossings, new entrance arrangements, associated drainage works and additional signage. The project also includes the construction of a new road linking R194 to Barrack Lane approximately 130m. The construction will include for a 6.5m wide carriageway with a 3m wide path adjacent, new street lighting, ramped pedestrian crossings, a new foul and storm sewer network within the road and fencing of a derelict development site. A new footpath link approximately 110m from this road will extend along the western side of Barrack Lane to the junction with the N55 to complete the scheme.
