Siljansringens möjlighet till innovativa lösningar som bidrag till omställningen till ett fossilfritt energisystem och minskad klimatpåverkan behöver undersökas, både vad gäller elproduktion och värmeutvinning genom djupborrning. Länsstyrelsen har sökt finansiering för att genomföra denna förstudie.
