Uppdraget avser projektering för Etapp 1 med kvarsittande hyresgäst, renovering och ombyggnad för utökat länsresidens samt tjänstebostad för landshövdingen. Idag hyr Länsstyrelsen ca.1000 kvm, förhyrningen kommer efter ombyggnad utökas till ca 1600 kvm. Representationsvåningen/residenset samt landshövdingens tjänstebostad är idag inte tillgängliga för personer med funktionsvariationer, behov av fler mötesrum, fler toaletter, mer förrådsyta och ett mer anpassat kök för residensets verksamhet.
