Description
Enköpings kommunbibliotek använder idag ett serverbaserat biblioteksdatasystem, BOOK-IT, med uppgifter om all media biblioteket tillhandahåller, samt adressregister för alla bibliotekets användare. Kortfattat omfattar systemet all hantering kring bibliotekets cirkulation och lånetransaktioner av medier, hantering av låntagarinformation samt mediekatalog. Dagens biblioteksverksamhet blir allt med digitaliserat och detta kräver ett modernt och tekniskt utvecklat biblioteksdatasystem. Det vi söker är ett molntjänstbaserat system som inte kräver klientinstallationer och som stödjer RBA, FRBR och länkad data. Önskat system ska även tillhandahålla integrerad evenemangskalendern med bokningssystem vilket är något som vi efterfrågar. Enköpings kommunbibliotek har genomfört omvärldsbevakning och undersökt vilka system som finns på marknaden och vad andra bibliotek har för system. Vi har kommit fram till att det av tekniska skäl saknas konkurrens på marknaden och efterfrågat system endast kan tillhandahållas av en leverantör.
