Syftet med upphandlingen är att Chalmers ges tillgång till unika och värdeadderande tjänster som bidrar till att utveckla Chalmers intressen inom forskningsnära utveckling. Forskning- och utvecklingsnära tjänster innefattar tjänster som stödjer samverkansintensiva miljöer i linje med Chalmers vetenskapliga profil. Med samverkansintensiva miljöer avses till exempel centrumbildningar och styrkeområden.
